This policy explains what data richard.grimmgear.com collects and how it is used.

What Data Is Collected

This site is a static portfolio. It does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or fingerprinting.

Contact Form

If you submit the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent to Formspree (a US-based form processing service) and forwarded to me via email. Formspree processes this data under their own privacy policy.

• Purpose: to respond to your enquiry
• Retention: messages are kept only as long as needed to respond
• Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request
• Legal basis (POPIA s11): legitimate interest in responding to enquiries

Analytics

This site uses a lightweight, self-hosted analytics script (/g/t.js) to collect anonymous usage data. It records:

• Page URL, title, and referrer
• Screen dimensions and browser language
• Page load time
• A randomly generated visitor ID stored in your browser (localStorage)

This data is processed on the same server that hosts this site. It is not shared with any third party. No cookies are used. The visitor ID can be cleared by clearing your browser storage.

• Purpose: understanding which pages are visited

• Legal basis (POPIA s11): legitimate interest

Fonts

All fonts are self-hosted on this server. No requests are made to Google or other third-party font services.

External Resources

All assets including analytics are served from the same domain. No data is sent to third parties.

Your Rights
